Vault

Low Obstacle Navigation

Dash Vault / Kash Vault

Dash vaults involve jumping over your obstacle, leaning back, and placing both hands behind you to right yourself.

Kash vaults begin like a Kong vault and finishes with the dash motion.

Kong Vaults

Dive Kong, Power Kong, Tac Kong, Double Kong

Kong vaults are a forward diving vault where you place two hands in front of you, push off the vault to bring your chest upright, and bring your knees thru.

Dive Kongs begin further back. Power Kongs aim for more distance after the kong. Tac Kongs include a kicking tac first (generally used for taller obstacles), and double kongs involve a two-spot hand jump.

Lazy Vault / Thief Vault

Lazy and Thief vaults are very similar movements. They are a lateral vault where you swing one leg over as you jump, exiting forward. Begin with one hand on the vault as you swing your legs and end with both hands on the vault behind you to exit.

Lazy Vault swings the inside leg. Thief Vault swings the outside leg.

Reverse Vault

A 360 spinning vault where your body becomes parallel to the floor. You should end facing away from the vault.

Safety Vault

A simple hand and foot opposite movement. This vault is versatile and can be done from standing, walking, and running.

Speed Vault / Speed Lazy Vault

Speed Vault involves leaning to the side while jumping and placing one hand on the obstacle. This hand pushes your body back to a vertical position.

Speed Lazy starts as a lazy vault and ends by swinging your hips forward and planting your second hand down behind in order to push away from the vault.

Spin Vault

A rotational (360 degree spin) vault where your chest remains upright and mostly perpendicular to the ground. It can be completed with one hand or two hands.

Turn Vault

A 180 move that stops your forward momentum. It is generally used to lower yourself into a drop.
